| Act Bio | We, The Down Trunks, are a four piece rock ‘n roll band from Kansas City. People have called us an alt-country band, an Americana band, a cowpunk band, a rock band, a country rock band, an indie band, a punk rock band, a folk rock band, and many more. We have categorized ourselves as a Roots Rock Band, because we think that this label incorporates all of these aspects. Finally, we believe our music hits the nail on the head of why people enjoy music. It is that core energy. The best way people can explain it is by comparing it to their favorite bands. There is a vibration, a primal emotion that is as basic as hunger and thirst. We’ve had sound guys ask us for our CD (which is available at www.cdbaby.com/cd/downtrunks)before we get off stage, with two other bands still left to set up.
