| Act Bio | Blind Willie was formed in March of 2002 when Marshall L. "Rob" Robertson joined guitarist Carl Peters and drummer Allen Townsend in Straight Shooter to replace their exiting bassist. The three played Straight Shooter's final gig on short notice and then backed off to regroup and re-form under the name Blind Willie.
The name, Blind Willie, pays homage to blues forefathers such as Blind Willie McTell (composer of Statesboro Blues, popularized by the Allman Brothers) and Blind Willie Johnson. Blind Willie's repertoire consists of "classic" rock and blues from Aerosmith to ZZ Top, including Creedence Clearwater Revival, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, the Rolling Stones, J. Geils, Tom Petty, Bob Seger, & Lynyrd Skynyrd.
